#CancelRent
On Mayday, May 1 2020, workers faced a new challenge: the coronavirus pandemic. In partnership with the Movement School and Housing Justice 4 All, Sunrise NYC members organized a #CancelRent action. The action focused on gaining rent release for NYCHA tenants, and included a banner drop from the Queensboro bridge and complementary digital actions.
