On Thursday, March 25th, Sunrise NYC is marching to Schumer’s house to demand he speak up, be a leader, and tell his party to Chuck the filibuster!
Abolishing this racist, arcane rule makes the decade of the Green New Deal possible.
With the slimmest possible majority in the Senate and everything on the line, the need to abolish the filibuster has never been more evident. Democrats have a rare opportunity to reject compromise with the white supremacist Republicans and make an equitable recovery toward a livable future our reality.
Chuck repeatedly promised, “everything is on the table” - ending the filibuster, expanding the Supreme Court, statehood for DC and Puerto Rico - but has been silent on all three since then. Instead of blaming Republicans and a small handful of uncooperative Democrats, he can be the leader the people need - so speak up, Chuck!
